In 2019, Lifesong Hospice and Palliative Care and the Lifesong Hospice Foundation were formed. The Lifesong Hospice Foundation is a stand-alone, registered in good standing, 501(c)3 non-profit corporation governed by an independent Board of Trustees.
Because the needs of a hospice patient may extend beyond what the Medicare hospice benefit may cover, the Lifesong Hospice Foundation was established in late 2019. These needs might be helping to fly home a son or daughter who could not afford to say goodbye to a parent or grant the last wish that our patient and/or family could not afford. Please help us fund programs like music and/or pet therapy that are not part of the Medicare benefit or covered by insurance. What may seem like a small gesture may mean a great deal when someone is dying.
